If you’ve traveled down Bayshore Drive to visit the Naples Botanical Gardens (www.naplesgarden.org) or Hamilton Harbor ( www.hamiltonharboryachtclub.com)  in recent weeks perhaps you’ve noticed they are in the process of razing the 200 units of the old Bayshore Apartment complex.  This is welcomed news for everyone as it is a sign of progress for both Naples and the immediate area.  This will make way for the 37-acre Arboretum Village, a development that would feature a mix of residential and commercial space.  Arboretum was slated to have just over 400 residential units and 150,000 square feet of commercial floor space.  Later plans included a hotel and there has been recent talk of a performing arts facility.  This is a great piece of real estate located next to Windstar on Naples Bay (www.windstarclub.com) and only 2-3 miles to 5^th Avenue shops and restaurants. Now that the buildings are coming down we can look forward to that being sooner rather than later.
