Popular Slip Price Increase January 1st!

December 2010
Price for Popular Slip Sizes to Increase January 1st

_60W4678We’re excited to announce that Hamilton Harbor’s membership roster has grown to almost 200 members in in a litte more than two years with 128 boats now “docking” in our boathouse. Due to this success, we’ve recently sold out of 30’ dry slip memberships and are experiencing limited availability of other popular slip sizes, especially 35’ slips.

Beginning January 1st, the price for a 35’ dry slip membership will therefore increase by 10%, making now the time to become a slip member! In addition to avoiding the price increase and locking in our lowest available pricing, you’ll receive three months free dues. Please call Membership Director Pat Schulz at 239-775-0506 for more information.

Enjoy Membership... and Time on the Water... Without Owning a Boat

Members at Hamilton Harbor now have several options for getting out on the water, even if they don’t own a boat! As a member…
j95 sailboat for web_1 You can sail the open waters aboard our J-95 sailboat, a 31 foot vessel that can reach speeds of 6.5 knots. A three foot draft makes the J-95 perfect for easily navigating our shallow Gulf Coast waters.

Jack_and_Kayaks_2If you’d prefer to stay close to nature, explore the backwaters of Rookery Bay in one of our kayaks. Our fleet includes six top-of-the-line kayaks that cater to varying skill levels. Each is available for rental for $15 per boat, per day. Boarding and disembarking is easy from our kayak launch attached to the fixed dock. If you've never been kayaking, or would just like a refresher, we'll show you the ropes in a brief training session prior to setting you afloat.
November through April, members can also enjoy a captained excursion aboard one of Barton and Gray's luxury Hinckley motor yachts which harbors at HHYC. Call 775-0506 for more information about theses and other membership benefits!

Manatees have begun their journey southward seeking warmer waters. Now through March 31st, please be on the lookout for these endangered sea cows and maintain proper boating speeds.

Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club

Hamilton Harbor held a boat show on Saturday afternoon.  Having been invited inspite of the fact I know little about boats, my wife and I decided to attend just for fun.  Fun it was! There was great food and drink to go along with the dozens of beautiful boats on display.  All shapes and sizes were available for all to see and purchase if tempted.  They even had a Carribean Style Band to entertain, steel drums and all.

Hamilton Harbor (http://www.HamiltonHarborYachtClub.com) developed by Collier Enterprises, can accommodate 325 boats up to 50 feet long in this state of the art boathouse.  Built to withstand winds up to 150 miles per hour, this facility gives boat owners peace of mind.  In addition there are 35 wet slips for boats up to 60 feet in length.
Some of the boaters there told me this was the best location in Naples.  It's less than 10 minutes to Gordon Pass and provides the most convenient access to the Gulf of Mexico.

The forklift in the photo has a 55,000-pound capacity- one of the largest ever made for the marine industry.  I watched as it raised and lowered several boats into and out of the water about as easy as you or I would handle a toy.

The Club offers concierge services for boaters.  You can call ahead to have your boat fueled and prepped for launch, and at the end of the day the staff will care for and wash your boat prior to being stowed.

By the way social memberships are available for you land lovers out there.  This is a unique club and a beautiful facility that is just minutes from Olde Naples.  If you'd like to live nearby feel free to contact me and also please visit my web site for more Naples and real estate specific information.  http://www.markWsimoff.com.
